(New Business–Focused Role)
About the Role
Voltix Services is looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to win new business and open new doors across our facilities services portfolio.
This is a new business–focused role, centred on identifying opportunities, engaging decision-makers, and converting prospects into long-term clients. It is well suited to someone with sales or business development experience who is ready to step up into a new role and a new challenge, with greater exposure, responsibility, and time spent meeting clients face to face.
This role is best suited to someone who already understands how to generate opportunities and now wants responsibility for converting them face-to-face.
You’ll play a visible role in driving growth, supporting sales activity from first conversation through to contract award, and developing strong client relationships with support from an experienced senior team as you take on more ownership.

This role is designed for someone ready to move beyond their current position and take on a more challenging, outward-facing role.
You may already be comfortable in sales but feel ready for a role that stretches you further getting you out in front of clients, into meetings, site visits, and meaningful commercial conversations, rather than remaining desk-based.

Key Responsibilities
New Business Generation
Proactively source, qualify, and convert new business opportunities within commercial and public-sector estates. Use outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and market insight to build a strong and sustainable sales pipeline.
Stakeholder Engagement
Engage Facilities Managers, Heads of Estates, and senior property stakeholders through confident, value-led conversations. Secure meetings, uncover challenges, and position Voltix as a trusted service partner.
Consultative, Value-Led Selling
Identify operational risks, compliance gaps, and performance issues across maintenance, compliance, energy, and building services. Develop outcomes-focused solutions that deliver clear commercial and operational value.
End-to-End Sales Ownership
Lead opportunities from initial contact through to close. Manage discovery, solution development, proposal input, pricing discussions, negotiation, and contract award, with senior support available for more complex deals.
Commercial Control
Contribute to the creation of proposals, scopes of work, and pricing models. Build a strong understanding of margins, deal structure, and commercial decision-making.
Pipeline & Forecasting
Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts. Track activity against KPIs and provide clear, structured updates to senior stakeholders.
Closing & Handover
Support deals through to close using effective follow-up and objection handling. Ensure smooth handover to delivery teams once contracts are secured.
What You’ll Need
Sales or business development experience within FM, building services, or a technical B2B environment
A track record of generating opportunities and progressing deals
Confidence engaging with clients and decision-makers
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Commercial awareness and an interest in pricing and margins
Motivation, resilience, and a proactive approach
Proficiency in Google Docs and Microsoft Office
